I began making these forever candles many years ago for friends and family out of flowers from wedding bouquets, birthday flowers, anniversary flowers, new baby arrangements and flowers that are saved from funerals. Each candle is inspired by life but crafted by hand and is an original creation for the person that orders it. These candles will not burn away.* They are Hurricane type candles. They do not contain a wick of any sort.

Remembrance Candles will have some small holes in the wax and may even have some parts of flowers exposed due to the nature and uncertainty of flower petals mixing with wax. These small holes or petal exposures are not a flaw in the candle. They are part of the handmade beauty.

Petite - Only available in Square 3"W x 3.5-4" Tall and Round 3" x 3.5-4" Tall

Small: Varies from 4.5" up to 5.25" W X 4.5 Tall
The wide dimension depends on what shape you choose.

Medium: Varies from 4.5"up to 6.75" W X 5.5 - 6 Tall

Tall: Varies from 4.5" up to 6.75" W X 8.5 - 9 Tall

All candle sizes are nominal in the respect that each candle is hand crafted so there can be slight variances in height from one to another.

I must add that the candles that are pictured here were made with very full flowers. I cannot be held responsible for candles that do not show flowers well if the flowers that are sent are shallow, smaller or not enough for the size candle ordered.

Please be aware that flowers can settle in different ways in every candle. Therefore, each candle created in an order can and will look similar but also different due to the nature of wax and flowers being combined. If you want your candle to be fuller (which will result in less light coming through) or with fewer flowers (which will result in more light coming through) I will need to know this. Also, if you do not want flowers separated and only petals used, please specify in your order. At times I do separate blooms to fill out candles more if less flowers have been provided.

Candles are made with a lighted electric insert and a wood base, an oil fuel insert or Battery Operated LED Light.
(Candles do not contain a wick; the fuel cells do have a wick.) Please add an additional $22.00 to the price of the candle for the electric insert and base. We also offer LED light inserts that are battery operated. These are just $3.00 for the petite and small and $5.00 for the medium and tall and can be used with or without a wooden base. (The LED price is included in the total in the drop down box under the candles with LED) If just a wood base is added, the price is $14.50 in addition to the cost of the candle.

Flowers need to be mailed as soon as possible to ensure that I am able to dry them properly for the best finished look for your candles. To prep the flowers for mail, please remove them from water, cut the flowers from the stem leaving 2 inches of stem. Flowers that have been previously dried can be used for orders as well. Flowers should be wrapped for protection prior to mailing. This can be done with old gift tissue paper, dry paper towels, etc. The flowers can also be layered in a box with dry paper towels or old gift tissue paper between each layer of flowers.

If you have multiple candles being ordered or if you have specific flowers you want used for specific candles, please use brown paper bags to separate the flowers per candle. Please do not use any type of plastic bag for packaging as this will cause the flowers to decay/mold much more quickly.

I have found that boxes work well for shipping as well as USPS priority boxes. Multiple orders mailed together should be clearly marked for whom they belong to as well as which flowers are to be used and the candle shape and size. Please include greenery to be used such as leaves, baby breath, etc. Please be sure to include enough flowers for each size of candle being ordered.

The following can be used as a guide:

Petite: 4-5 small-medium flowers
Small: 5-6 small - medium flowers
Medium: 7-9 medium - large flowers
Tall: 9-16 medium - large flowers


Flowers of all types can be used. The flowers in the candles pictured in my shop are very full and mostly roses. Please be aware that your flower fullness ultimately depends on how much of the flower is seen when embedded into the candle. Small, thin flowers may not show up as well unless the candle is illuminated.

Please understand that I cannot change the color that a flower dries to. Red Roses for example can dry to a dark purplish color, maroon or even almost black depending on the type. Certain pink flowers can dry to a purple color. White flowers dry to an ivory color most of the time. Lighter flowers may have some browning due to the heat of the wax. I do everything humanly possible to prevent this but sometimes it is unavoidable. Much of this has to do with the type of flower and whether the florist has enhanced the blooms with an additive. I have found that certain flowers can change the color of the wax from translucent so please be aware of this. Some types of Lillies and some enhanced Carnations do this the most. The only flowers that I have found do not work well are spider mums. These flowers can fall apart during the drying and pouring process. They can be used but they may be separated petals once encased in the wax.
